IBM Worldwide Market Leader in Portal Software

IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced today that the analyst firm Gartner, Inc. has ranked them as the market share leader worldwide for enterprise portal software. these numbers are based on total software revenue for 2007.

With over 6,000 portal customers such as Cisco Systems, Inc., Duke Medicine, and the Australian government, IBM is the worldwide market share leader 7 years in a row.

Joomla is still way ahead, but since it is FOSS it doesn’t have a market share
