MIT researchers turn everyday windows into solar panels

Researchers at MIT have created a new way to harness the sun’s energy — by turning windows of bigA solar cell, made from a monocrystalline  sil... buildings into solar panels.

The new technology, dubbed “solar concentrators,” harvests light over a wide area such as a window pane and then concentrates or gathers it at the window’s edges, said Marc Baldo, a professor at MIT and head of the effort. He talked about the project in a video available from MIT.

“the file has been deleted. if you deleted the file in error you can retrieve it from the recycle bin”
*clicks ok and thinks to self “omg im glad that’s over” and goes to IE*
*types in digg.com*
“this page is not encrypted, if you visit it you could be intercepted by a 3rd party”
*thinks to self “ok ms, then make your browser more secure so i dont have to worry” and clicks ok*
“internet explorer has encountered an error and needs to close”
*clicks send error report*
*a blank window pops up*
*waits a few seconds*
*another window pops up and says “windows encountered an error displaying the previous error. would you like to repair windows?”
*clicks yes*
*5 minutes later*
“windows has been repaired successfully but needs to restart for the changes to take effect.”
*clicks restart*
*at the boot screen chooses ubuntu*

and people ask me why  I don’t use windows.
